Settling a Family Estate on St. Simons Island?
Same-Day Estate Cleanout on St. Simons Island Often Available — Call or Text
Yes, the whole house — and nobody hurries the family through it. Estate work is unlike anything else we do: the person calling isn’t deciding between two couches, they’re closing out a parent’s life. We clear what the family is ready to let go of and work around whatever isn’t settled yet.
St. Simons Island
Estate work on the island
Many homes here have real history in them, and on an estate some of what looks like junk deserves a second look. Island estate jobs don’t get rushed for exactly that reason: we pull aside what you want to keep, flag what might carry value or meaning, and ask before any of it goes anywhere.
Along Sea Island Road and toward the north end, estates tend to mean bigger homes, longer driveways and furniture that deserves careful handling. The pace there is set by what we’re carrying rather than by the clock, and that suits estate work.
Whether the home is in Frederica on the north end or near the golf course in Sea Palms, we settle where the truck and trailer will sit before the first room is touched, because that decides every carry after it. A gate, where there is one, needs only a code or a scheduled access window ahead of time.
If the family lives away, the work can run with one person checking in by phone while we go. In summer the causeway stretches every day on the island, so a multi-day estate is scheduled with that built in.
What we handle
What we take care of
If something gives us pause — an album, a box of letters, a medal, an envelope tucked into a book — work stops and you get a call. We keep it apart from the load, and the family makes the decision.
We coordinate with one person directing the estate, and photos go to them before major decisions. The legal side, including when the house can be cleared, stays with the family’s attorney; we schedule around that answer. If a room isn’t ready, we work the rooms that are and come back.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

After the pickup
Where it goes
We figure out the right destination for each piece once the family’s keep pile is safely set apart. Usable furniture and household goods may be offered to organizations we work with, such as Habitat ReStore, the Salvation Army or Goodwill. They decide what they accept, and a good piece can still be declined.
A dead refrigerator or freezer goes through the appropriate appliance and refrigerant recycling channel, often SA Recycling in Brunswick. One that still runs is sometimes repaired inexpensively and given to a family who needs it.
What can’t be reused or recycled is disposed of properly, and the loads travel straight off the island to Brunswick.

Pricing
What changes the price
Volume, access and time. Whatever the family keeps or sells first comes off the volume; a long driveway or a second floor adds carry time; an estate that runs over several days is quoted as a multi-day job from the start, with the drive on and off the island already in it.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
