Clearing Out a Bedroom Dresser in a St. Simons Island Home?
Same-Day Dresser Removal on St. Simons Island Often Available — Call or Text
Yes, we take dressers of every kind: the long double dresser, the tall chest, the highboy and lowboy, the vanity with its bench, and the nightstands that match. Drawers still full? That’s fine — mention it and we’ll price it in, and if the contents are going too, they go on the same truck.
St. Simons Island
Dressers in island homes
A lot of island houses have real history in them, and a dresser is where that history tends to hide: letters in the top drawer, a watch in a jewelry tray, old photographs under the liner paper. When a drawer turns up something that might matter, we set it aside and ask you before it goes anywhere. We don’t rush that part, and we don’t rush the family either.
A dresser could be coming out of an older home on Gascoigne Bluff or a bedroom in Black Banks. Older houses often have stairs and landings that were never built with a six-drawer chest in mind, and that’s when the drawers come out and the case goes down on its end.
Around the Village there’s no parking to speak of and tourists most of the year, so a dresser pickup there gets planned on the phone and again when we pull up. We would rather carry a little farther than block the street for the length of the job.
People here notice how a crew carries itself in their house. Corners stay off the walls, the floor gets looked after, and the room is left clean when the dresser is gone.
What we handle
How a dresser comes out
Drawers come out before the carry, always. Taking them out cuts the weight of the case, and it stops a drawer sliding open halfway down a staircase. The drawers travel on their own and meet the case again on the truck.
An attached mirror is usually held by one screw at the back where the mirror frame attaches to the dresser body. When it needs to come off for the stairs, we take it off. Straps and pads go on for the turns.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

After the pickup
Where the dresser goes
We figure out the right destination once the drawers are out and we can see the piece. A solid wood dresser in good shape is one of the more genuinely reusable things we pick up, and those are worth offering to an organization we work with, such as Habitat for Humanity ReStore or Goodwill. They decide what they accept.
We don’t pretend a water-damaged dresser has a second life; swollen, broken or particleboard pieces usually go to disposal. Whatever the destination, the load leaves the island and heads into Brunswick.
Pricing
What changes the price
Dresser pricing scales with size, material, and access. A small chest from a ground-floor bedroom is quick; a solid-wood mirrored dresser from an upstairs room with a tight turn at the top of the stairs takes longer. When the matching nightstands and headboard go too, the whole bedroom is priced as one load.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
