Swapping Out Beds in a St. Simons Rental or Beach House?

Same-Day Bed & Bed Frame Removal on St. Simons Often Available — Call or Text

Yes, we take beds of every size and build: metal frames, solid-wood four-posters, sleigh and spool beds, trundles, daybeds, bunks, rollaways and brass or iron beds. The mattress and box spring can go on the same trip, and so can a headboard on its own.

We disassemble on site so the pieces fit through the doorway and down the stairs. Customers don’t need to figure out which bolts hold which rails.

St. Simons Island

Beds, turnovers and the beach end of the island

On the island, bed swaps are mostly a rental story. An owner upgrades the guest rooms, a property manager replaces a broken frame, a new set of mattresses arrives, and all of it has to fit between one checkout and the next check-in. When the turnover is at four, it means four, and we plan the truck, the causeway and the carry to be done before then.

The beds might be in a vacation home in East Beach or somewhere in Coast Cottages. Close to the beach, the streets are tight and parking is part of the job, so the smaller truck comes when the street calls for it and it sits where nobody gets boxed in.

Property managers don’t need to stand in the doorway while we work. Tell us which rooms and which beds, and we take it from there. Turnover calls start in April and keep coming through September, and we plan around each check-in.

What we handle

Taking the bed apart

Metal frames fold and ride flat — the fastest version. Wooden beds come apart at the rails, the slats stack, and the headboard leaves as its own piece; headboards heavier than the frame itself are common, so we plan the hands for it.

King-size frames almost always need disassembly because they’re too wide for standard interior doorways. Storage beds take longer because of the drawer count, but they come out the same way: in pieces, without scuffing the walls on the way down. Disassembly is included.

Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

Pricing

What changes the price

Bed frame pricing scales with type, weight, and access. A folding metal frame from a ground-floor room is the light end; a king storage bed with a heavy headboard from an upstairs room is the other. Several bedrooms in one visit are priced as one load, which is how most rental refreshes go.

Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.

After the pickup

Where the beds go

We figure out the right destination for each piece. Metal frames are usually recycled as scrap, often at SA Recycling in Brunswick, and every load comes straight off the island to the mainland.

A solid-wood bed in good condition may be worth offering to an organization we work with, such as Habitat for Humanity ReStore, which decides what it accepts. Broken rails, cracked headboards and worn-out mattresses are handled by condition, and what can’t be reused is disposed of properly.
