Have a St. Simons House That Needs to Be Emptied Top to Bottom?

Same-Day Whole House Cleanout on St. Simons Often Available — Call or Text

Yes, the whole thing. A house bought with everything still in it, a place that has sat vacant, rooms a tenant walked away from, a home that has to be bare before a renovation — from the front door it all looks alike: furniture in every room, closets and cabinets nobody has opened in a while, a full garage. We take on the whole property, not a room at a time.

St. Simons Island

Emptying a house on the island

A whole house is several loads, and each one crosses the causeway. There is a drop-off on the island, behind the farmers market on Demere, and we have used it, but the material has to leave the island eventually. For most of these jobs we run each load straight into Brunswick rather than add a transfer step, and that call is made load by load.

Before the first room is touched, we read the property: where a truck or dump trailer can sit, how long the carry is, what the street is doing that morning. The equipment is sized to the house. From April through September, when move-outs and turnovers run heavy, tell us your date and we plan the job around it.

The house might sit in Sea Palms West, in Bellemeade, or in one of the pockets between the named areas. A quiet street still needs a plan when a trailer is going to be out front most of the day, so we put it where neighbors can get past.

What we handle

What we take care of

The crew works through the property room by room — furniture, mattresses, appliances, closets, kitchen and bathroom cabinets, then the garage, the attic, the shed and the yard. Nothing has to be moved to the curb first.

Anything that looks personal, important or valuable is brought to your attention rather than decided by the crew, and if certain pieces are staying, tell us which room they’re in. When the last load pulls away, the house is swept out and ready for the cleaner, the contractor or the listing photographer.

Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

Pricing

What changes the price

A whole house is quoted as one project rather than by the load. The number moves with how much is inside, how far it has to be carried, the stairs, how much of the outside is included, and how many trips across the causeway that volume takes.

Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.

After the pickup

Where it goes

We figure out the right destination for each thing as it comes out. Refrigerators and freezers go through the appropriate refrigerant recycling channel, usually SA Recycling in Brunswick, and scrap metal often goes to the same yard.

Furniture and household goods in good shape may be offered to organizations we work with, such as the Salvation Army or Habitat ReStore. They decide what they accept, so no single piece is promised.

Now and then an appliance with life left in it gets an inexpensive repair and goes to a family who needs it. What can’t go anywhere useful is disposed of properly.
