Stuck With an Old Hot Tub Behind Your St. Simons Home?

Same-Day Hot Tub Removal on St. Simons Island Often Available — Call or Text

Yes, we remove hot tubs and spas, including the one that came with the house and the one that hasn’t held water in two summers. Salt air and humid summers are hard on spa cabinets out here, so plenty of tubs on the island reach this point sooner than their owners planned.

A standard above-ground tub weighs four to seven hundred pounds dry and won’t fit through a gate or doorway in one piece, so almost every one gets cut down on site. That is the job, and we come set up for it.

Hot tubs on island properties

The tub might be on the back deck at one of the north-end waterfront properties of Hampton Point, or on a patio behind a fence in Sea Palms out by the golf course. Either way the question is the same: how far it is from the tub to where the truck can stand, and what the sections have to pass through on the way, whether that’s a side gate, a deck stair or a pool enclosure.

Up toward the north end the properties spread out, some ground is softer, and the walk to the truck is longer than anywhere else on the island. We budget more time and bring more hands for that, and we look at the yard before deciding where the truck goes.

On the larger properties the pace is set by what’s being carried and what it’s being carried past. The sections come out in pieces small enough to handle cleanly, and the deck stays the way it was unless it’s part of the job. All of it crosses the causeway, and that drive is counted in the price.

What we handle

How the tub comes out

Draining is part of the job, and we do it on site when a hose run is available. The cover comes off, the cabinetry comes off panel by panel, and the shell of acrylic over fiberglass over foam gets cut into sections with the right blade. The crew size is set by the tub and the path out.

A tub that’s still wired in is where this comes up. When licensed electrical or plumbing work is needed, that’s normally handled by you or a licensed pro. Show us what you have and where it is, and we’ll help figure out what’s needed and work around it.

Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

Pricing

What changes the price

The tub’s size, how it’s installed and the path out. One on an open pad with a clear way to the truck is the light version; one wrapped in decking, sunk into a surround, or carried from a fenced backyard through a narrow gate is more work, and we price the actual tub rather than a chart.

Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.

What we haul

Hot tubs and spas we take

  • Above-ground hot tubs with wood or composite cabinets
  • Portable and plug-in spas
  • Swim spas and oversized exercise spas
  • Built-in and sunken tubs, the tub itself
  • Covers, cover lifters, steps and accessories
  • Tubs with cracked shells, leaks or dead heaters

After the pickup

Where the pieces go

We figure out the right destination for what comes out. Metal from a frame or the equipment can go to scrap recycling, often SA Recycling in Brunswick, and the cut shell, foam and cabinet panels go to proper disposal.

Every section leaves the island on our truck and heads straight to Brunswick, and the yard is left looking the way it did, minus the tub.
