Is a Salt-Worn Outdoor Kitchen Due to Come Out on St. Simons?
Same-Day Outdoor Kitchen Removal on St. Simons Often Available — Call or Text
Yes, we tear them out and haul them away. An outdoor kitchen is two jobs in one: the equipment — the grill head, a side burner, an under-counter fridge, maybe a sink — and the island it’s built into. The equipment comes out first, then the countertop, and then the island is broken down and loaded.
What we handle
Taking it apart, piece by piece
A modular island on a metal frame comes apart in sections and loads by hand. One built from block is real light-demolition work: the top comes off in pieces, the veneer and block are broken down, and the rubble is shoveled and carried rather than rolled on a dolly.
If the island is the only thing going, the pavers or slab around it stay put, and the chips and grout dust go with us when we leave.
The pad the island sits on is something we can look at from the same photos. When licensed electrical or plumbing work is needed, that’s normally handled by you or a licensed pro. Show us what you have and where it is, and we’ll help figure out what’s needed and work around it.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.
St. Simons Island
Outdoor kitchens on the island
This close to the water, salt air works on both halves. The stainless pits and the hinges seize, and the stucco cracks until water gets into the block behind it. By the time a kitchen is coming out, the doors may not open and the veneer may already be loose, and none of that changes how it comes apart.
The larger kitchens tend to sit behind larger homes. Along Sea Island Road and toward the north end the driveways run long, and the work moves at the pace of what’s being carried rather than the clock. Block rubble and granite are heavy, so on those properties the walk from the patio to the truck is usually the real job, past plantings and pool decks nobody wants scuffed.
The island might sit behind a home in Sea Palms or out by the golf course at St. Simons Island Club.
We read the property before the first swing of a hammer: where the truck and trailer can sit, how the rubble travels, what has to stay untouched. Every load also crosses the causeway, and on a summer weekend that adds time at both ends of the day. That time is built into the number up front, so a long tear-out doesn’t end with a surprise.

Pricing
What changes the price
It’s quoted as a project, because what the island is made of decides the work. A modular frame with a drop-in grill goes quickly; a long block island under stone veneer and a granite top is mostly tear-out time and weight. After that comes the carry — a gate, a pool deck or a long side yard between the patio and the truck — and whether the pad goes too.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
What we haul
What comes out of the backyard
- Built-in grill heads, side burners and warming drawers
- Block, stucco and stone-veneer islands
- Granite, poured and tiled countertops and bar tops
- Outdoor refrigerators and under-counter coolers
- Outdoor sinks, cabinets and stainless access doors
- Pre-built modular islands and grill carts
After the pickup
Where it goes
We figure out where each part should go once it’s apart. Stainless and steel usually go to scrap, often at SA Recycling in Brunswick.
An outdoor fridge is handled through the appropriate refrigerant recycling channel, often SA Recycling as well, where the refrigerant is recovered as part of their process.
Block, stucco and stone rubble is handled as masonry, and the whole load rides off the island straight to Brunswick.
