Need a Heavy Recliner or Lift Chair Out of a St. Simons Home?
Same-Day Recliner Removal on St. Simons Island Often Available — Call or Text
Yes, one recliner or a whole living room of them. Power chairs are heavier than they look, so there’s no need to wrestle one toward the door before we come. Plenty of recliners only clear an island front door after the back comes off, and we come ready for that.
St. Simons Island
Recliners and lift chairs on the island
The chair might be in the front room of a house in King City or a den down on the south end in German Village.
That end of the island sits next to the Village and the Pier, and in the busy stretches of the year parking is the whole problem. A recliner is a quick carry, so the right approach is to stop where nobody gets blocked, walk it out efficiently and go, rather than hold a curb all afternoon.
Plenty of people on St. Simons are aging in place, and a lift chair rarely leaves by itself. Usually a family is clearing a parent’s house: the lift chair in the living room, a hospital bed in the back room, a shower bench in the bath. Estate work on the island isn’t rushed. Anything you want to keep gets set aside, and anything that might matter is brought to you before it goes anywhere.
What we handle
Getting it through the door
Most recliners leave the way they came in, whole. When a doorway or a stair turn is too tight, the back lifts off the seat at clips or screws hidden under the upholstery, and the chair becomes two easy carries. Power-lift chairs, which can push 150 to 200 pounds empty, get more hands on the stairs.
On a power chair we unplug it and coil the cord. The motor, controller and battery stay in the chair and ride out with it.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

Pricing
What changes the price
Type, weight and the carry. A manual recliner from a ground-floor room is the lighter version; a power-lift chair from an upstairs bedroom is the heavier one, with motorized chairs in between. Several recliners on an estate job, or a whole living room, go as one load, with the causeway drive counted from the start.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.

After the pickup
Where it goes
We figure out the right destination for each chair based on its condition, and the load leaves the island for Brunswick.
When the mechanism still works and the upholstery is clean, we’ll try a donation outlet such as Habitat for Humanity ReStore. They decide what they take, and condition matters.
Motor-dead, worn-through or pet-damaged chairs usually go to disposal.
