Just One Old Chair to Get Rid Of on St. Simons?

Same-Day Armchair Removal on St. Simons Island Often Available — Call or Text

Yes, even just one. A chair is the furniture people put off longest: too big for the trash can, too small to feel like a project, so it drifts from the living room to the guest room to the porch. One chair is a normal pickup, and a room of them is still one trip.

Chairs on the island

It might be a wicker chair from a beach cottage or vacation home in East Beach, or a pair of rockers from a beachside home in Coast Cottages.

When a rental near the beach gets refurnished between seasons, the old chairs have to be out before the new ones come in and before the next guests check in. We plan around that hour. In peak season a lone chair can often ride along on a day we are already nearby.

Those streets are narrow, so we decide where the truck sits before anything is carried. For a single chair that usually means a short walk rather than a blocked lane.

In the bigger, older houses along Sea Island Road, a wingback or a rocker can be more than a chair. Some of what looks like junk on an estate job deserves a second look, so when a piece might carry value or meaning, it gets set aside and you make the call before it goes anywhere.

What we handle

When a chair won’t fit

Most chairs leave in one piece. A wide club chair that won’t clear a hallway loses its legs first, and on many builds the back lifts off the seat, turning one awkward carry into two easy ones. Wicker and rattan weigh almost nothing but grab every door frame on the way out. None of that is your job; it happens in the room, and it’s quick.

Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

After the pickup

Where it goes

We figure out the right destination for each chair based on its condition, and it comes off the island to Brunswick with the rest of the load.

A chair with real life left is worth trying at a donation outlet such as Goodwill or the Salvation Army. The organization makes the call on what it takes, and condition matters.

Torn, worn-out or pet-damaged chairs go to disposal.

Pricing

What changes the price

A single chair is a small share of a truck. What moves the number is how many pieces go and the walk between the chairs and the truck — a flight of stairs, or a narrow street that puts the truck around the corner.

Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
