The treadmill is the piece of equipment people buy with the best intentions and use for about six months, after which it becomes the most expensive clothes hanger in the house. Commercial-grade treadmills — the kind that show up in hotel gyms, second-floor home gyms in larger houses, or older rental properties — are heavier and don’t always fold the same way. Crew is set by the machine and the path out rather than by a rule.
The thing that actually decides how this job goes is where the treadmill is. A garage or a ground-floor room is straightforward. A second-floor bonus room over a turning staircase is a different job, and it is the most common place treadmills end up. How we work
