The short version

Warehouse Cleanouts at a glance.

What it is
Clearing a warehouse, storage building or light-industrial space -- pallets, racking, shelving, dead stock and broken equipment -- for a purge, a consolidation or a lease exit.
What’s included
  • Pallets, racking and shelving taken down and hauled
  • Dead stock, damaged inventory and broken equipment
  • Scrap metal recycled when practical
  • Dumpsters on site for multi-day purges
  • Scheduling around shipping hours and dock traffic
How pricing works
Weight matters as much as volume here, along with access and days on site. The firm price comes from photos or a walkthrough before loading. Commercial account terms may be available for approved customers.

A warehouse fills up slowly. A few broken pallets get stacked in the corner. A run of shelving comes down and leans against the wall. Returned product that can’t be sold sits on a rack for a season, then two. Equipment that stopped working gets pushed to the back instead of thrown out. Eventually the space you’re paying for is half full of things you don’t use.

A warehouse cleanout is the day that changes. It might be a purge to win back floor space, a consolidation into a smaller building, or a lease ending with a deadline. It might be a landlord or building owner with a space the last tenant walked away from.

Most of the load is heavy and mixed — wood, steel, cardboard, plastic, old equipment — and the work goes faster when it’s sorted as it’s loaded. Metal goes to the scrap yard, usable pieces get a chance at a second life, and the rest goes where it should. For offices, retail and restaurants, our commercial junk removal page covers the rest of the commercial work we do.

Who calls us

Who we run this work for.

Operations and facility managers clearing space. Dead stock, damaged inventory, broken pallets and retired equipment taking up room that should be working.

Businesses moving or consolidating. The good racking and inventory go with the movers. The broken racking, the scrap and the leftovers stay behind, and the old building has to be handed back empty.

Building owners and landlords between tenants. A warehouse or storage building with whatever the last tenant didn’t want to move, and a next tenant who needs the floor clear.

Small businesses with a storage building or a back lot that turned into a dumping ground. Contractors’ yards, shops and storage bays with years of material that isn’t worth keeping. If the material is jobsite debris from a build or a remodel, our construction debris removal is set up for that.

How we do it

Warehouse Cleanouts on Brunswick’s Industrial Side

Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed — the floor, the racking, the back corners, the loading area and the yard if there’s anything outside. For a large building, a short walkthrough is often quicker than a long photo set. We give you a firm price, confirmed before anything is loaded.

We schedule around your operations. If the dock is busy during shipping hours, we work around it. If the building has security or gated access, we set it up ahead of time so the crew isn’t waiting at the gate.

Equipment is sized to the job. A truck handles a corner of the building. Dump trailers handle heavy loads. For a purge that runs over several days, a dumpster on site — 10, 15, 20 or 30 yards, and sometimes 40 — lets your own staff load as they sort while we haul the bulky pieces. Sizing a dumpster for warehouse material is a weight question as much as a volume one, so tell us what’s going in it.

Steel racking, metal shelving and scrap equipment are usually recycled as scrap metal, often at SA Recycling in Brunswick. Shelving, furniture and tools that still work can go to Habitat ReStore, HART or another organization we work with, if they can use them. Same-day pickup is often available in Brunswick, St. Simons Island and the Golden Isles — call or text for the next available opening. Camden County and inland areas are scheduled, usually within the week.

Warehouse space around Community Road or off Cate Road fills up the usual way: broken pallets in the corner, a run of racking nobody uses, returned stock that can’t be sold, retired equipment by the dock. Clearing it is mostly a question of weight and scheduling. The crew works around your shipping hours, takes racking down in sections, and sizes trucks and dump trailers to the load. Steel racking and scrap equipment are usually recycled as scrap metal, and recoverable scrap value can sometimes factor into the economics of a job — every job is different. Photos of the floor, the racking and the yard are enough to start a price for any building across Brunswick’s industrial side.

What’s in scope

What we haul.

What we haul in this category

  • Pallets, broken or stacked
  • Pallet racking and warehouse shelving, taken down and hauled
  • Dead stock, returns and damaged inventory
  • Broken shop equipment, carts and workbenches
  • Scrap metal, old fixtures and steel shelving
  • Cardboard, packaging and accumulated debris
  • Office furniture and breakroom items from the warehouse office
  • Whatever a former tenant left in the building

Hazardous materials — chemicals, solvents, fuel, asbestos-suspect material and the like — need their own route, and we’ll tell you where they go.

Pricing

How pricing works on these jobs.

Warehouse cleanouts are priced on volume, weight, access and time on site. A pile of pallets by the dock is the light end. A full building with racking to take down, heavy equipment and a long carry from the back is the heavy end, and a job that takes several days is priced that way.

You get a firm price before anything is loaded. If the job turns out bigger than the photos showed, we tell you before we start, not after. The minimum for any pickup is $95.

A certificate of insurance goes to whoever needs one before work begins. We take all major credit cards, Venmo and Cash App, handled through our office, and commercial account terms may be available for approved customers.

Pallet racking and shelving

Racking is usually the heaviest part of a warehouse cleanout and the part that takes the most planning. Standard pallet racking comes apart in uprights and beams; once it’s down, it’s steel, and the steel is usually recycled as scrap, often at SA Recycling in Brunswick.

If some of the racking is staying or moving to a new building, point out which runs. The crew takes down and hauls only the sections that are going.

Send a photo of the racking with the rest of the building. Height, how many runs and whether anything is still loaded on the shelves are what set the time it takes.

Dead stock and damaged inventory

Product that can’t be sold is one of the hardest things for a business to let go of. It cost money, it’s still in the box and it feels like it should be worth something. But a pallet of unsellable inventory sitting in a rented building is costing you every month.

Usable goods get offered to organizations we work with. They set their own standards, and what they can take depends on condition, their space and what they already have, so it’s something we try for rather than promise. What can’t be reused gets routed by material — metal to scrap, the rest to the right disposal stream.
