Ready to Take Down the Backyard Pool in Darien?
Call or Text for the Next Above-Ground Pool Removal Opening in Darien
Yes. The frame pool the kids outgrew, the one that came with the house, the one whose liner split last summer — we drain it, take it apart and haul it, pump and ladder included. What sets the day is how much water is still in it, how it was built, and how far it sits from the drive.
What we handle
How the pool comes apart
We drain it on site when there’s a hose run and somewhere sensible for the water to go. Then it comes apart in order: the liner releases first, the panels or walls come down one at a time, and the top rails, ledge covers and bottom rails get separated and stacked for the truck.
A deck attached to the pool is case by case — if it’s part of the structure it comes down with the pool, and a freestanding one can stay if you want to keep it. For anything unusual, send a few photos and tell us where it sits, and we’ll tell you what it takes.

Darien
Taking a pool down around Darien
Draining sets the pace. A family-size pool holds thousands of gallons, and on a flat coastal lot that water will find the lowest spot in the yard and sit there. We pick the run before the hose goes in — away from the house, away from the neighbor’s yard — and because it takes longer than people expect, a pool gets a planned Darien day rather than a stop squeezed between other jobs.
That goes for a pool behind a home out on Black Island near Darien, and for one up Highway 99 in Crescent. If there’s a soft spot in the yard, a gate that sticks or a culvert you don’t trust between the pool and the drive, mention it on the call and the truck gets planned around it.
Spring and fall tend to be when the bigger backyard projects happen out here, and a pool coming down often opens up a whole list: the deck built around it, a trampoline, the swing set, patio furniture that’s been sitting out for years. All of it can leave on the same trip.

After the pickup
Where it goes
Steel walls, frames and rails usually go to scrap at SA Recycling in Brunswick.
The liner, the cloth under it and the plastic parts go to disposal — on a McIntosh job, the material decides the destination, not the county line.
A pump or ladder still in decent shape can be offered to donation outlets we work with, such as HART in McIntosh County; they decide what they accept, and condition matters.
Pricing
What changes the price
Size, materials, decking and access. A small round resin pool with nothing built around it is the light end; a big oval with a wooden deck attached, a long carry to the truck and a narrow gate to work through is the heavy end.
How much water is still in it counts too, because a full pool means more time on site before the first panel comes off.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95.
