Got an Old Satellite Dish Rusting in a Darien Yard?
Call or Text for the Next Satellite Dish Removal Opening in Darien
Yes, we take satellite dishes and antennas, both the giant one still standing in the yard and the ones somebody already took down. They’re bulky rather than heavy, and nearly all of it is metal that can be recovered instead of buried.
What we haul
Dishes and antennas we take
- Large C-band dishes on a yard pole
- Reflectors, arms, motors and mounting hardware
- Satellite dish mounting poles
- Small dishes already off the house
- TV antennas and masts that have been taken down
- CB and ham radio antennas and tower sections already down
- Receivers, cable and the old electronics that went with them
What we handle
How a yard dish comes down
We take the dish apart where it stands — reflector, arm and motor, then the pole. Photos of the base show us how the pole is set in the ground, and that’s built into the price before we come.
Dishes and antennas that are already down are a straight load onto the truck. If yours is still up on a roof or a tower, send us a few photos and tell us where it is, and we’ll tell you what it takes.

Old dishes on McIntosh County land
Big dishes belong to a certain kind of property: some acreage, an outbuilding or two, a yard where things have been collecting for a long time. On rural land out here, the dish is often one piece of a larger pass through the barn, the shed and the debris pile, and it makes sense to clear it all on one trip.
The dish might stand behind a house in Valona on the coast, or at the back of a lot in Pine Harbor — rusted in place, with a vine up the pole.
When the dish sits far from where the truck can park, or the ground between is soft after rain, the pieces get carried the rest of the way by hand. Once it’s apart, a dish that looked enormous is just a reflector, an arm, a motor and a pole.
Pricing
What changes the price
A dish already on the ground mostly comes down to how much truck it fills. One still standing adds the time to take it apart and get the pole out of the ground.
Distance matters too. A long walk across the property from the dish to the truck, or soft ground in between, adds a little time, and your photos let us account for it in the number up front.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95.
After the pickup
Where it goes
The reflector, arm and pole are metal, and metal usually goes to scrap at SA Recycling in Brunswick.
Old receivers and cable from a McIntosh job go to places like Broadhurst, since the McIntosh County landfill doesn’t take electronics.
Anything that isn’t metal or electronics is routed by what it is.
