Kitchen work runs on delivery dates. The new stove arrives one day and the old one needs to leave the next, so tell us when the installer is due and we’ll plan to it.

How we take it out
A freestanding range slides out from the wall. Slide-in ranges sometimes need the counter trim removed before the stove will clear, and a wall oven comes forward out of its opening: the screws release, the oven slides forward on its own brackets, and we lift it down to the dolly.
On a gas range, on the day, we confirm it’s safe, then we haul. When licensed electrical or plumbing work is needed, that’s normally handled by you or a licensed pro. Show us what you have and where it is, and we’ll help figure out what’s needed and work around it.

Kitchen swaps on the island
Most of our island work runs through property managers. A range that quits in a rental gets replaced between guests, unit by unit, and by the time we pull up we already know what’s coming out of the kitchen and where it’s headed once it’s off the island.
In the historic part of the island, older structures and preserved buildings call for tighter coordination. A range coming out of a home on Old Plantation Road gets its route out and the truck spot worked through ahead of time.
If the kitchen is in a condo near South Beach, the elevator and the walk to where the truck can stop are part of the plan, and a double wall oven travels on an appliance dolly with a stair-climber rating.
However it comes out, the old range leaves the island with us. It doesn’t get parked behind the building for someone else to deal with.

Pricing
What changes the price
Stove and oven pricing scales with type, weight, and access. A freestanding electric range from a ground-floor kitchen is the light end; a double wall oven from an upstairs kitchen or a condo is the heavy end. A hood, microwave or other appliance on the same trip will price better per unit than single-appliance pickups, and the drive back across the bridge is already in the quote.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
After the pickup
Where the old range goes
Where a range ends up depends on the unit and whether it still works. Most of the unit is steel, so it’s usually recycled as scrap metal rather than landfilled, often at SA Recycling in Brunswick along with other metal from the island.
A range with life left in it sometimes gets an inexpensive repair and goes to a family who needs one; that depends on the unit.
