Replacing Appliances on St. Simons and Need the Old Ones Gone?
Same-Day Appliance Removal on St. Simons Island Often Available — Call or Text
Yes, we take old appliances, working or not: the range from a kitchen remodel, the washer that quit mid-cycle, the chest freezer that’s been humming in the garage since the last owner. We unplug what plugs in and hand-disconnect an accessible water line as part of the haul.
Most appliance pickups get timed around the delivery of the replacement, and on the island it helps to plan the truck around that delivery truck too.

Appliance jobs around the island
When the washer and dryer are in a condo at Ocean Walk near the Village, the appliances are the easy part and the building and the street are the job. They come out through the building and get loaded quickly, because parking near the Village is scarce and holding a space all morning helps nobody.
A marshfront home in Black Banks might have its old freezer out in the garage and a second refrigerator on the back porch. Along Sea Island Road and in the larger homes, what sets the time is the distance from those spots to where the truck can stand, so a photo of the route out is as useful as one of the unit.
Rentals add their own rhythm. A dishwasher or dryer that fails between guests has to be gone before the next check-in, and from April into September those calls stack up. Every unit crosses the causeway on the way out, and that drive is in the quote from the start.

What we handle
What we take care of
A French-door refrigerator can run around four hundred pounds and often won’t clear an interior door with its doors on, so they come off. A water heater holds about forty gallons that has to drain somewhere, and we drain it to a hose run before it moves. Stairs are standard on appliance work.
A gas-fed range or a hard-wired unit is where this usually comes up. When licensed electrical or plumbing work is needed, that’s normally handled by you or a licensed pro. Show us what you have and where it is, and we’ll help figure out what’s needed and work around it.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.
Pricing
What changes the price
Appliances are priced by the unit and the access: how many, how big, which floor, and how far the carry is. Several from one kitchen cost less per unit than one at a time, and the island drive is already in the number.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
After the pickup
Where the appliances go
We figure out the right destination for each unit, and it starts with one question: does it still work? A working appliance is a completely different decision, and sometimes one with life left gets an inexpensive repair and goes to a family who needs it. That depends on the unit, and the organizations we work with decide what they can use.
Dead refrigerators, freezers and AC units go through the appropriate appliance and refrigerant recycling channel, often SA Recycling in Brunswick, where the refrigerant is recovered. Other finished units usually go to scrap metal recycling, often at SA Recycling as well.
All of it comes off the island and straight into Brunswick, so you don’t have to sort anything.
