Renovating Guest Rooms at a Jekyll Island Hotel or Resort?

Same-Day Hotel Furniture Removal on Jekyll Island Often Available — Call or Text

Yes, we take hotel and resort furniture, whether it’s a few rooms or a whole property done in phases. The point isn’t hauling a pile. It’s getting each room empty on the day the contractor reaches it, while the rest of the building keeps hosting guests.

Renovation work on Jekyll

Jekyll runs steadier than St. Simons, and hospitality work here follows guest windows that stay fairly consistent from spring through fall. That suits a phased renovation: you give us the sequence, we put each phase on the calendar, and the property manager knows what’s coming before the truck crosses the bridge.

A renovation at one of the hotels in Beach Village comes down to staging: which door the furniture leaves by, where the truck can stand without crowding the shops and the walk to the beach, and how long a hallway can hold a stack. A loading dock helps; a front drive that guests use needs more care.

Up in the historic district around the Jekyll Island Club, the buildings are older and preserved, so the walk-out gets tighter coordination: corners and doorframes protected, stair runs planned, and nothing leaned against old woodwork.

Whatever comes out of the rooms leaves the island with us. No stack of headboards sits out back waiting for another day, and the round trip across the bridge is part of the project price, not a line added at the end.

What we handle

What we coordinate

Tell us the renovation sequence, rooms or floors and which days, and we schedule the removal against it, so no old dresser is sitting in the hallway when a guest steps off the elevator.

Upper floors mean sharing an elevator with guests and housekeeping. We agree which car we can use and when, pad the walls and corners on the way down, and keep the corridor clear between loads.

When the volume is more than one trip, we plan scheduled trips with a truck, trailers or a dumpster sized to the job. If you need photos or a list of what left for your records, tell us when you book and we’ll work with you.

Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

Pricing

What changes the price

A renovation is quoted as one project: how many rooms, what’s in each, the elevator and dock situation, and how many days the work is spread across. A whole property done in phases is priced as a whole rather than trip by trip, with the crossings already in it.

Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.

What we haul

What comes out of the rooms

  • Dressers, desks, nightstands and armoires
  • Headboards and headboard wall panels
  • Mattresses, box springs and bed bases
  • Mirrors, lamps, luggage racks and mini-bar cabinets
  • Lobby sofas, seating and reception counters
  • Banquet chairs and tables, room dividers
  • Bellman, housekeeping and laundry carts

After the pickup

Where it goes

Everything crosses the bridge with us, and we figure out the right destination for each part of the load.

Hotel furniture in good shape can have a real second life, and organizations we work with, such as Habitat for Humanity ReStore or the Salvation Army, decide what they can use. It’s a reasonable effort, never a promise.

Metal bed bases and carts usually go to scrap, often at SA Recycling in Brunswick. For the mattresses, we look for responsible reuse, recycling and disposal options when they’re practical and available.
