Who Takes the Old Cabinets From a Jekyll Island Kitchen Remodel?
Same-Day Cabinet Removal on Jekyll Island Often Available — Call or Text
Yes, we take old kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities and the countertops on top of them. When new cabinets are on order, the old set has to be gone before the installer shows up, and getting it out of the room is our end of the job.
Still hung on the wall or already stacked in the garage? Send us a few photos and tell us where it is, and we’ll tell you what it takes.
Jekyll Island
Remodels on Jekyll
Ordinary bulk collection on the island doesn’t handle every material, including construction debris, which is what a torn-out kitchen turns into. So the old kitchen never sits at the curb: it goes on our truck and back across the bridge, and from there remodel material goes to a facility that accepts it, which not every facility does.
In an older house along Riverview Drive or off Stable Road, the kitchen can be a galley with a tight doorway, and a galley adds carry time. Older structures in the historic district get a slower walk-out, with corners and door frames minded on the way and the original woodwork left the way it was.
When a rental kitchen or bath gets redone, the work has to fit between guest windows. The property manager gives us the gap, and the old cabinetry leaves when the contractor is ready for an empty room.
What we handle
What we take care of
Particleboard that has spent years under a dripping sink tends to fall apart in your hands, so it goes out as debris rather than as furniture. Solid wood usually holds together and sometimes comes out in one piece.
Sometimes water, gas or power still runs through a base cabinet. When licensed electrical or plumbing work is needed, that’s normally handled by you or a licensed pro. Show us what you have and where it is, and we’ll help figure out what’s needed and work around it.
If the countertops are coming out too, we scope both together on one trip, and the vanity from the hall bath is the same job at a smaller scale.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

Pricing
What changes the price
Cabinet pricing scales with how much cabinetry there is, how much room it fills on the truck, and the access to the room. A single vanity is the light end; a full kitchen with uppers, bases, an island and stone tops is the heavy end, and a galley with a tight doorway adds time. The crossing back over the bridge is built in from the start.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
After the pickup
Where it goes
The whole load leaves the island with us, and we figure out the right destination for each part of it, since remodel material needs a facility that accepts it.
Solid-wood cabinets that come out in one piece can be offered to an organization we work with, such as Habitat for Humanity ReStore, and they decide whether to take them.
Old steel cabinets and hardware are scrap metal, usually bound for SA Recycling in Brunswick. Swollen particleboard and cracked laminate tops have reached the end and go to proper disposal.
