Old Kitchen Cabinets and Countertops Coming Out on St. Simons Island?

Same-Day Cabinet Removal on St. Simons Island Often Available — Call or Text

Can we take them? Yes. Kitchen cabinet removal is the haul-away end of a kitchen remodel, and our part is getting the cabinetry and countertops hauled away, so the room is clear for whoever installs next. Bathroom vanities are the same job at a smaller scale.

Whether the cabinets are still hung or already pulled and stacked, send us a few photos and tell us where they are, and we’ll tell you what it takes.

St. Simons Island

Kitchens on the island

Around the Village the houses are older and parking is close to nonexistent, so a kitchen job there gets planned twice: once on the phone, and again when we pull up and see what the street is doing that morning. Truck placement is settled before the first box comes off the wall, and we don’t block traffic to save a few minutes.

The kitchen might be in a house out by the marsh in Black Banks or in St. Clair. A run of cabinets in an older kitchen can be a galley with a tight doorway, which adds carry time, and the photos show us that up front.

A remodel in an older island house can turn up more than cabinets. If something might have value or meaning, we pull it aside and ask before it goes anywhere.

What we handle

What we take care of

Old particleboard boxes, especially anything that has lived under a leaking sink, tend to crumble; the screws strip and the load becomes more rubble than furniture and we plan for that. Solid-wood cabinets usually hold together and come out cleaner.

A sink base or a cooktop cabinet may still have lines running through it. When licensed electrical or plumbing work is needed, that’s normally handled by you or a licensed pro. Show us what you have and where it is, and we’ll help figure out what’s needed and work around it.

If the countertops are going too, we scope the cabinets and countertops together on one trip.

Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

Pricing

What changes the price

How much cabinetry there is, how much room it takes in the truck, and the access to the kitchen. A single vanity is the light end; a full kitchen with uppers, bases, an island and stone tops is the heavy end. Tight Village parking or a long carry adds time, and it’s in the number from the start along with the causeway drive.

Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.

What we haul

What we take

  • Upper and base kitchen cabinets
  • Free-standing islands and peninsula cabinetry
  • Bathroom vanities and linen cabinets
  • Laminate, tile, solid-surface and stone countertops
  • Toe kicks, fillers, end panels, doors and drawers
  • Metal kitchen cabinets from older houses

After the pickup

Where old cabinets go

We figure out the right destination for what comes out. Solid-wood cabinets that come off in one piece can sometimes go to reuse through an organization we work with, such as Habitat for Humanity ReStore, though they decide what they accept and condition matters.

Crumbled particleboard, laminate tops and broken stone go to proper disposal, and metal cabinets are scrap. The whole load leaves the island straight for Brunswick.
