Every move leaves something: the sofa that won’t fit the new place, the guest-room beds, the garage nobody got to. If we clear it before the movers come, they only pack what’s going. If it waits until after, you take what you want and we take everything that’s left.
Nothing has to be dragged out to the driveway first. We carry it from wherever it sits.

Point out what’s going with you, or just tell us, and the crew works around it. On a busy week, keeping the moving pile in one room keeps the two piles from mixing.
If the movers run out of room or turn down a piece, a photo of what’s left is enough for us to clear it after their truck pulls away.
When it’s a parent’s house, papers, photographs and anything that looks valuable or personal get set aside for the family to decide on, not decided by the crew.

Moving out of a house on Jekyll
Houses on the residential side of Jekyll sit apart from each other, and most driveways take the truck without trouble, so a move-out here is usually a clean run from the door to the truck. A house along Beachview Drive and a place up toward North Beach get the same plan: photos of each room, an agreement on what stays, and loading room by room.
What’s different is the trip out. Everything from a Jekyll move-out comes back off the island with us, and where it goes after that depends on what’s actually on the truck. That round trip takes real time, so it goes into the plan and the price at the start rather than turning up at the end.
If you’ve already left the island, that works too. A neighbor, your agent, a property manager or a lockbox can let us in, and the photos and the price come to your phone for you to approve from wherever you are.

Pricing
What changes the price
We price what’s actually leaving. A few pieces are priced by how much of the truck they fill, and a whole house that isn’t coming along is quoted as one project. Stairs, an attic or a long walk to the truck are counted up front, along with the drive back across the bridge.
On a long move, it’s worth comparing. A long-distance mover charges by weight, so every piece we take is a piece you aren’t paying to ship.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
After the pickup
Where it goes
We sort the load by what it is. Household goods in decent shape may go to organizations we work with, such as Goodwill or Habitat for Humanity ReStore, and they decide what they accept.
An appliance with life left in it is sometimes repaired and given to a family who needs one, depending on the unit. Dead refrigerators and freezers usually go to SA Recycling in Brunswick for refrigerant recovery.
The rest goes where it properly belongs, and nothing gets left on the island or set at a curb.
