Moving Off St. Simons and Leaving a Pile Behind?
Same-Day Moving & Move-Out Cleanout on St. Simons Often Available — Call or Text
Yes, we clear what isn’t coming with you. Every move has a pile: the sofa too big for the new living room, the second refrigerator in the garage, the attic boxes nobody has opened since the last move. All of it has to leave the old house by a deadline, whether that’s a closing, a lease end or the day you hand over the keys.
We carry it out from wherever it is, so nothing has to be dragged to the driveway first.
What we handle
How the move-out runs
Clearing before the movers means they only pack what’s going, and a long-distance mover charges by weight, so every piece we take is a piece you aren’t paying to ship. Clearing after is simpler if you’re still deciding.
Tell us what’s going with you, or point to it when we arrive, and the crew works around it; keeping the moving pile in one room stops the two piles from getting mixed up. If you’ve already left, family, a neighbor, an agent or a lockbox can let us in.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.
St. Simons Island
Moving out on the island
Spring into early summer is when island move-outs spike, and they land on the same calendar as the rental turnovers. If your moving date is set, tell us and we’ll put the cleanout somewhere sensible, ahead of the movers or right behind them.
Whether the house you’re leaving is up by Gould’s Inlet or mid-island in Barnes Plantation, we work out where the truck and trailer can sit before moving day. Near the beach parking and positioning are part of the job, and a moving van in the driveway changes the answer, so tell us when it’s coming.
A move often turns up things that matter mixed in with things that don’t. If something might have value or meaning, we pull it aside and ask before it goes anywhere, and nobody gets hurried through that part. When we leave, the house should look like a house somebody took care of moving out of.
The causeway adds time coming out to you and going back with the load, more so on summer weekends, and it’s in the estimate up front.

What we haul
What we clear on a move
- Furniture that won’t fit the new place
- Mattresses, box springs and bunk beds
- Second refrigerators, freezers, washers and dryers
- Garage, attic and storage-room contents
- Patio furniture, grills, bikes and beach gear
- Boxes, bags and closet leftovers
- Whatever the movers left behind
After the pickup
Where it goes
We figure out the right destination for what’s left behind. Household goods in decent shape get offered to organizations we work with, such as Goodwill, the Boys & Girls Club or Habitat ReStore, and whether they take a given piece is their call.
An appliance with useful life left is sometimes repaired and given to a family that needs one, though that’s never promised for a particular unit, and dead refrigerators go through an appliance and refrigerant recycling channel, often SA Recycling in Brunswick. The load comes off the island straight to Brunswick.
Pricing
What changes the price
A few pieces and some boxes are priced by how much of the truck they fill; a whole house that isn’t coming along, garage and shed included, is quoted as one project. Stairs, attics and long carries add time and are built into the price up front rather than added later.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
