Both machines leave, along with any pedestals that are going, and we sweep up where they stood.

Stacked units have to come apart first: the dryer comes down off the washer, and each goes out on its own. The slow versions are tight laundry rooms with no room to angle the dolly and upstairs laundry rooms where the units come down a stair, and the photos tell us which one we’re walking into.
A gas dryer in a Sea Island laundry room comes out with the washer, on the same trip. When licensed electrical or plumbing work is needed, that’s normally handled by you or a licensed pro. Show us what you have and where it is, and we’ll help figure out what’s needed and work around it.

The machines, the access and the connections. A top-load washer and an electric dryer from a ground-floor laundry room is the light version; a stacked pair in an upstairs closet with a tight door is heavier work. Multiple-appliance jobs price as one load rather than separate trips, so an old refrigerator or dishwasher can ride along on the same visit.

Washers and dryers are mostly metal, so they’re usually recycled as scrap rather than landfilled, often at SA Recycling in Brunswick.
We figure out the right destination for each machine based on what it is and the shape it’s in, and now and then a unit with real life left gets an inexpensive repair and goes to a family who needs it.
