Old Carpet Coming Out of a St. Simons Island House or Rental?
Same-Day Carpet Removal on St. Simons Island Often Available — Call or Text
Can we take it? Yes. Carpet removal is the front end of most flooring renovations: new hardwood, LVP or tile is coming in, and the old carpet, the pad and the tack strips all have to go somewhere. They go together, on one trip.
Whether yours is still on the floor or already rolled up in the garage, send us a few photos and tell us where it is, and we’ll tell you what it takes.

Carpet jobs on the island
Wet carpet is its own kind of job. After a storm or a long stretch of bad weather, soaked carpet and padding become part of the cleanup that most people need first, and the schedule shifts toward that work. Wet carpet weighs far more than it looks, which matters on the carry and on the truck.
In a rental, old carpet has to come out between guests, when the unit is empty and the clock is running. We plan around the next check-in, and a property manager with a run of units can set that up as recurring work.
The house could be out on the marsh in Black Banks or at Gascoigne Bluff along the Frederica River. Either way, stairs, closets and transitions are what change the work, so we read the house in your photos before we come.
From April into September the island runs heavy with turnovers and move-outs. Give us the install date for the new floor and we keep the old carpet out of its way.
What we handle
What we handle
Carpet is light for its volume but awkward: long rolls, floppy padding and soaked sections that don’t carry like they look. We roll and bundle it so it moves through a hallway cleanly and stacks tight in the truck.
Stair runs take longer than the same square footage of open floor, and where pets lived for years the smell is in the pad, sometimes into the subfloor underneath. Both are things we’d like to see in your photos so the plan fits.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.

What we haul
What we take
- Wall-to-wall carpet and the padding under it
- Tack strips and transition pieces
- Stair runners and landings
- Area rugs and room-size rugs
- Commercial-grade carpet tiles
- Water-soaked carpet and pad after a leak or storm
Pricing
What changes the price
Square footage, room layout and stairs. One open room of dry carpet is the light end; a whole house with hallways, closets and a staircase is the heavy end. Soaked carpet adds weight, and that goes into the same number we confirm before loading, along with the island access.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
After the pickup
After it’s rolled up
We figure out the right destination for what comes up. A rug in good shape can sometimes find a second use; worn carpet, pad and tack strip have little left in them and go to proper disposal.
There’s a drop-off on the island, but carpet has to leave anyway, so the load usually goes straight across the causeway into Brunswick.
