Did Your Generator Give Out After the Last Storm on St. Simons?
Same-Day Generator Removal on St. Simons Island Often Available — Call or Text
Yes, we take it. Nobody on this coast owns a generator casually: it gets bought under pressure, run hard for a few days, put back in the shed and not started again for two years. When it won’t turn over the next time, it gets replaced, and the old one needs to go.
St. Simons Island
After the storm, on the island
In the weeks after a storm, the island’s schedule moves fast, with debris and urgent cleanup first in line because that’s what most people need. A dead generator can ride along with that cleanup or wait for a calmer week, and we’ll stay in touch and be straight with you about which makes sense.
It might be sitting in a garage at St. Simons Island Club or in a shed behind a home inside the gates of Hampton Plantation.
Behind a gate, we set up the code or access window with you ahead of time so the truck isn’t left waiting. Getting the unit out is the real variable: a shed with a step at the door, or a soft north-end yard after rain, is where the ramp and extra hands come in.
Crossing the causeway with a heavy unit on a summer weekend takes longer than on a quiet Tuesday. That time is already in your quote, so there’s nothing added at the end.

What we handle
Getting it out of the shed
A small inverter generator is a one-person carry. A contractor-grade unit on a frame runs a couple of hundred pounds and comes out with the hands it needs and often a ramp.
If there’s fuel in it, mention it so we know what we’re dealing with, and we’ll work out the safest way to remove it.
If anything is damaged or unsafe to move, such as a swollen battery or a leaking unit, mention that with the photos too and we’ll plan around it.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.
Pricing
What changes the price
Weight and access lead, because a generator is compact and heavy, the opposite of most household items. A portable near an open garage door is a straightforward add; the same unit at the back of a shed, across a soft yard or down a set of steps is real work.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
After the pickup
Where it goes
We figure out the right destination for each unit. A generator is mostly metal, so much of it usually goes to scrap, often at SA Recycling in Brunswick, rather than a landfill.
A battery goes to the appropriate recycling or disposal stream, never ordinary trash.
From the island, it heads straight into Brunswick with the rest of the load.
