Pricing

How pricing works.

What server rack removal costs here. We price by the tier your items fill, starting at $95–$150 for a 1/8 truck; a single item is quoted from a photo so we can confirm the tier before anything is loaded. The number you agree to is the number you pay, and it includes carry-out, the disposal fee and cleanup.

One wall-mount cabinet and a couple of switches is a small load. A row of loaded full-height racks with UPS units, a lot of cable to pull and a flight of stairs to the truck is a bigger one, and electronics and batteries carry their own disposal cost, which shows up in the number instead of being hidden. After-hours timing is planned in up front. The minimum for any pickup is $95.

Yes — server racks, network cabinets and the equipment in them are something we take, from one wall-mount cabinet to a room of full-height racks. They usually come out when a business moves to the cloud, changes buildings, closes, or finally cleans out the closet that’s held every generation of its network since the first one.

A full-height rack is a tall steel cabinet, and loaded it’s far too heavy and top-heavy to roll through a doorway in one piece. So it comes out in the order it went in, backward: cabling and patch panels, then the switches and servers off their rails, then the UPS units and battery packs from the bottom, then the shelves, doors and side panels, and finally the empty frame. Once it’s empty, most racks move on their casters or on a dolly and fit through a standard door, or they come apart further if the hallway says so.

The equipment goes on the truck the way you handed it to us. If any of it holds company or customer data, tell us — we work around your timing for wiping it or pulling the drives, and schedule the pickup after that’s done.

How we work

Getting a Server Rack Out of a Brunswick Business

The room decides most of the job. A server closet off a hallway is quick; a comms room up a flight of stairs or behind a secure door takes more planning. Tell us where the rack sits and how the crew gets to it, and if the building has security check-in, a freight elevator or a dock, we’ll set it up ahead of time with you or the building manager. A lot of these jobs run after hours or on a weekend so nobody’s working next to a crew.

Some racks are bolted to the floor or tied into dedicated power. When licensed electrical or plumbing work is needed, that’s normally handled by you or a licensed pro. Show us what you have and where it is, and we’ll help figure out what’s needed and work around it, and the rack comes out once the circuits are safe.

UPS batteries go to the appropriate recycling or disposal stream, never the ordinary trash — tell us what kind of battery you have, or send a photo. The servers, switches and cabling go to the appropriate electronics recycling or disposal channel, and the steel frames and shelves often go to scrap recycling, such as SA Recycling in Brunswick.

A server rack in Brunswick might be in the back of a shop in the Sterling Industrial Park area or in a comms closet at an office near the airport around Glynco. The rack itself is the easy part once it’s empty. The planning is about the building: whether there’s a dock or a back door, whether someone has to let the crew through a secure door, and whether the work has to wait until the end of the day. Tell us where the rack sits and when the drives are wiped, and we’ll set the pickup for after that, at any business around Brunswick.
