Sometimes a house just has to be empty, and there’s no family story attached to it. You bought a property and the seller left everything. A tenant moved out and left half of what they owned. A house has been sitting vacant and somebody finally has to deal with it. You’re about to renovate and the contractor needs bare rooms. Or the place has simply gotten away from you and you’re starting over.
Whatever the reason, the job looks the same from the front door: furniture in every room, closets and cabinets that haven’t been opened in a while, a garage nobody can walk through, an attic, maybe a shed and a yard. It’s too much for a couple of weekends and a pickup truck, and renting a dumpster still leaves you doing all the carrying.
That’s the job this page is about — the whole property, not a room at a time.
Who calls us
Who we run this work for.
The first question is whether anything stays. Sometimes the answer is nothing — the owner wants the house empty, period. If there are things you want kept, set them aside or tell us which room they’re in. Anything we come across that looks personal, important or valuable gets brought to your attention, not decided by the crew.
The second is the finish line. For some people “empty” means the furniture and the junk are gone. For others it means broom-clean and ready for a cleaner, a painter, a contractor or a listing photographer. Tell us which, and the quote is built for it.
The third is how you want it done. Our crew can do all the carrying and loading. Some owners prefer a dumpster in the driveway so they can work at their own pace. Some do both — a crew for the heavy furniture and the bulk of the house, and a container for the slow sorting that follows. There’s no wrong answer; it depends on how much of the work you want to do yourself.
How we do it
Whole-House Jobs Across Brunswick
Send photos of each room, the garage and anything outside, or ask us to walk it. A whole house is quoted as one project, and you get a firm number before anything is loaded.
On the day, the equipment is sized to the job — trucks, dump trailers or a dumpster, whatever the house actually needs. The crew works through the property room by room: furniture, mattresses, appliances, closets, kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinets, the garage, the attic, and the shed and yard if they’re part of it. Nothing has to be moved to the curb first.
Things get sorted as they come out. Refrigerators, freezers and other refrigerant appliances go to SA Recycling in Brunswick, where the refrigerant is recovered properly. Scrap metal goes there as well. Furniture and household goods in good shape may be offered to local organizations we work with — HART in McIntosh County, Habitat ReStore, the Salvation Army, Goodwill, the Boys & Girls Club — but they decide what they accept, and condition matters. Sometimes an appliance with real life left in it gets an inexpensive repair and goes to a family who needs one. What can’t go anywhere useful goes to disposal.
When the last load leaves, the house is swept out and ready for whatever comes next.
A whole house near the Country Club — on the streets around the golf course in the Brunswick Country Club area — or a family home in Belle Point off Highway 17 can come with more than the rooms: a garage, an attic, a shed, whatever is out in the yard. All of it is quoted as one project from photos or a walkthrough, with a firm number before anything is loaded. The crew works room by room, the equipment is sized to the house, and you don’t need to be there if a lockbox or a neighbor can let us in. Send the address and the photos — we clear houses in every part of Brunswick.
What’s in scope
What we haul.
What we haul in this category
- Every room — furniture, beds, mattresses, rugs and household contents
- Kitchen and bathroom cabinets emptied, closets cleared
- Refrigerators, washers, dryers, stoves and other appliances
- Garages, attics, sheds and outbuildings
- Yard junk and debris outside the house
- Contents left behind by a seller, tenant or previous owner
- Vacant and long-empty houses
- Pre-renovation clearing so the contractor starts with bare rooms
- A broom-clean finish when the house is going to a cleaner, contractor or listing
Whoever books the job just needs the right to dispose of what’s being removed.
Pricing
How pricing works on these jobs.
A whole house doesn’t fit the single-load price list, so it’s quoted as one project after photos or a walkthrough. What drives the number is how much is inside, how far it has to be carried, stairs, and how much of the outside — garage, shed, yard — is included.
You get a firm price before anything is loaded, and it holds unless the job changes. If you want a dumpster for part of the work, we’ll price that alongside it. The minimum for any pickup is $95.
When it’s not an estate, just a house that has to be empty
Our estate cleanout and inherited-property pages are written for families going through a loss, and they’re paced that way on purpose. Whole-house work isn’t always that. It’s an investor who bought a house as-is, a landlord with a unit the last tenant abandoned, or a homeowner who wants the house cleared before the floors come up.
Those jobs still get the same care with anything that looks personal or valuable — it gets set aside and you get asked. But the pace is different. When nobody needs time to grieve over the contents, the goal is usually to get the house empty efficiently, so the next thing can start.
If the house is tied to a foreclosure, a lender or an owner who isn’t local, our foreclosure cleanout service covers that version of the job.
A crew, a dumpster, or both
We do both, so we don’t have a reason to push you toward either one.
A crew makes sense when you want the house emptied and you don’t want to lift anything. We carry, sort, load and haul, and it’s done.
A dumpster makes sense when you want to go through things slowly, or you’re doing a renovation and the debris will keep coming for a while. We can get the right roll-off to the house: 10, 15, 20, 30 and sometimes 40 yards, depending on the area and availability. The trade-off is that the carrying and loading become yours.
The two also work well together: a crew clears the heavy furniture and the bulk, then a container sits in the driveway for the slow part.
