Pricing
How pricing works.
What wood stove removal costs here. We price by the tier your items fill, starting at $95–$150 for a 1/8 truck; a single item is quoted from a photo so we can confirm the tier before anything is loaded. The number you agree to is the number you pay, and it includes carry-out, the disposal fee and cleanup.
A wood stove takes little room on the truck, so the weight and the carry set the number. A pellet stove rolled out of a garage is the light end. A big cast-iron stove from a living room with steps down to the yard is the heavy end, and a whole hearth’s worth — stove, pad, pipe and tools — is priced together. The minimum for any pickup is $95.

Part of our Appliance Removal service
Yes, we remove wood stoves, pellet stoves, fireplace inserts and electric fireplace cabinets. Plenty of them are more history than heat: a potbelly or a Franklin stove that came with an older house, an insert put in years ago and hardly used, a pellet stove somebody gave up on.
The thing to know about a wood stove is that it’s cast iron or heavy steel plate, and it’s dense. Even a small one weighs more than it looks, and a big cast-iron stove is a several-person carry with straps and a dolly. The doors, the ash pan, the legs and any loose cooktop plates come off where they can, which lightens the body and keeps the edges off the doorframes on the way out.
Inserts are a different shape of job, set inside the masonry firebox and brought out forward onto a protected floor. Pellet stoves are lighter but carry a hopper, an auger and a fan, and any pellets left in the hopper come along. Electric fireplace cabinets are really furniture, and a clean one may suit one of the donation organizations we work with, which decide what they accept. Cast iron and steel usually go to scrap recycling, often at SA Recycling in Brunswick.

How we work
Getting an Old Wood Stove Out of a Brunswick Home
Most of the work is the path out. A stove on a hearth in the living room crosses the floor on moving blankets and a dolly, never dragged, and the crew plans every doorway turn before the weight moves. Steps down off a porch or a raised house get taken slowly, one at a time. When licensed electrical or plumbing work is needed, that’s normally handled by you or a licensed pro. Show us what you have and where it is, and we’ll help figure out what’s needed and work around it. For anything that runs up into the ceiling or the chimney, send us a few photos and tell us where it is, and we’ll tell you what it takes.
The hearth pad, loose stovepipe sections, the fireplace screen and the old log rack can all go on the same trip, along with whatever else is leaving the room.
A wood stove can turn up anywhere around Brunswick — on the hearth of a home along Highway 341, or in one of the older homes on acreage along Old Jesup Road. Wherever it is, it’s usually the heaviest single thing in the room, so the job is mostly about the path: porch steps, a raised floor, a soft or gravel drive after rain. The crew sets the truck as close as the ground allows and brings the hands and the dolly the stove calls for. Photos of the stove and the way out are enough for a firm price, from one end of Brunswick to the other.
