Selling a St. Simons Home and Need It Empty Before Closing?
Same-Day Home Sale Cleanout on St. Simons Island Often Available — Call or Text
Yes. Once the contract is signed, the closing date belongs to everyone else, and the walkthrough a day or two before it is what the buyer remembers. Tell us what stays with the house and it stays exactly where it is. Everything else leaves.
What we handle
What we take care of
You don’t need to be there. A lockbox, the listing agent or a neighbor can let us in, so there’s no trip across the causeway. If you need photos or a list of what left for your records, tell us when you book and we’ll work with you.
If the family still has choices to make, we can do it in stages — the garage, attic and storage on one trip, the rooms with decisions left in them on another. And if something turns up after we’ve been through, a short return trip handles it before the buyer sees it.
When the buyer asked for an old playset or the lumber pile by the fence to go, it comes out on the same visit as the house.
Send us a few photos and tell us what you need removed. We’ll take it from there.
St. Simons Island
Closing on the island
Rental turnovers run from April into September, and the causeway backs up on summer weekends. The drive time is already in the price; give us your date and the clear-out gets planned backward from the walkthrough with room to spare.
The house might be one of the homes in Shadow Brook Village or over in Mariners Landing. Either way, what we plan around is the closing date and where the truck can sit.
Close to the Village it takes more thought: older homes, hardly any parking, and visitors on the sidewalks most of the year. The truck goes where it won’t box anybody in, and the crew works steadily and leaves rather than tying up the street for an afternoon.
On the bigger lots along Sea Island Road and toward the north end, the walk from a back bedroom to the truck can be long, so the crew and the equipment are sized to the carry, not just the furniture count.
When it was a parent’s home, the sale carries more than furniture. Plenty of island houses have real history in them, and some of what looks like clutter deserves a second look, so papers, photographs or a box of letters at the back of a closet get brought to you, not decided by the crew.

What we haul
What we clear before closing
- Every piece of furniture that isn’t staying with the house
- Beds, mattresses and guest-room sets
- Appliances the contract doesn’t include
- Garage shelves, attic boxes and closet contents
- Patio furniture, old playsets and yard debris
- Whatever was left behind after the move
Pricing
What changes the price
What’s there and how hard it is to reach. A few leftover pieces after a move are priced by the share of the truck they fill; a whole house with the garage, attic and yard is quoted as one project from photos or a quick look. Second-floor rooms and a long walk to the truck add time.
Firm price from your photos, confirmed before anything is loaded. The minimum for any pickup is $95. We don’t charge extra for same-day pickup when we have an open time slot.
After the pickup
Where it goes
We figure out the right destination for each thing that leaves, and the loads come straight off the island to Brunswick instead of stopping at a transfer point on the way.
Furniture and housewares someone else could use are often offered to organizations we work with, such as Habitat for Humanity ReStore or Goodwill; what they accept is up to them.
An old garage refrigerator or freezer typically goes through an appliance and refrigerant recycling channel such as SA Recycling in Brunswick, and scrap metal often heads there too.
