Patio furniture removal across the Golden Isles.
Aluminum frames pitted by salt air. Cushions waterlogged from a leaky shed. Glass tabletops shattered by storm debris. We haul. The patio gets back to being a patio.
Coastal Georgia is hard on outdoor furniture. Salt air, humidity, occasional hurricanes — most patio sets last three to five years before they’re done. We see the same pattern across St. Simons, Sea Island, Jekyll, and Brunswick: aluminum frames pitted by salt corrosion, cushions waterlogged from a leaky storage shed, glass tabletops shattered by storm debris, fabric umbrellas faded and frayed past the point of usefulness. The patio set leaves; the patio gets back to being a patio.
The most common call is the seasonal replacement — old set out, new set in, customer wants the swap done in a single visit. Storm cleanups produce patio furniture in volume — hurricane debris, post-flood damage, items that came in from a neighbor’s yard during the storm. Pre-listing yard cleanups where real estate agents want clean outdoor spaces for staging photos. Estate cleanouts often include patio furniture forgotten on lanais, screened porches, or backyards that the family hadn’t walked past in years.
Operationally, patio furniture splits by material and complexity. Patio chairs stack-load for efficient truck volume — six or eight chairs ride together. Aluminum tables are heavier than they look but handle on a dolly without issue. Glass-top tables get extra care: the glass detaches when possible (most glass tops sit on the base with rubber pads or clip mounts that release with a careful lift), wrapped if disposal is the destination, padded for transport. Outdoor sectionals and patio sofas are heavier than indoor furniture because of the weather-resistant frames; the cushions add weight and sometimes mold smell when they’ve been soaked too long.
Disposal routing matters here. Aluminum patio furniture has scrap value at recyclers — pitted aluminum still recycles cleanly, and the recycler payment offsets some of the disposal cost. Steel patio furniture goes to scrap. Composite and resin furniture without metal content goes to landfill. Cushions and umbrella fabric go to landfill too. We sort during loading so the routing stays clean.

Specifically, what we take for patio furniture removal.

- Pool-deck furniture and beach-house outdoor sets
How we work
How we actually handle it.
Patio chair pickups are the fastest version — chairs stack on the truck, secured with straps, multiple chairs per minute of loading time. Multi-piece patio sets (six chairs plus a table plus an umbrella plus a side table) take longer because of the variety of pieces but stay efficient because the items aren’t heavy individually.
Glass-top table handling is the slower step. We check the glass top first to see if it detaches — most glass tops on aluminum bases sit on rubber pads or clip mounts that release with a careful lift. Detached glass rides separately, wrapped or padded. Glass that’s permanently fused to the base rides with the base in a single piece, glass face up. Broken glass from storm-damaged tables gets bagged separately for safety.
Outdoor sectionals are the heaviest patio category. The frames are weather-resistant aluminum or steel, the cushions add weight, and water-soaked cushions push the unit weight significantly higher. Two-person carry on most outdoor sectionals; three-person if the sectional is large or the cushions are heavily waterlogged.
Pricing
How pricing works.
Patio furniture pricing scales with volume, weight, and any storm-damage cleanup component. Single chairs are the lightest. Whole patio sets (chairs plus table plus sectional plus umbrella plus accent pieces) price as a multi-item visit. Storm-cleanup patio furniture often rolls into a larger storm-debris-removal job rather than a standalone patio visit.
Phone quotes work for standard patio jobs. Photos help when the volume is unclear or when storm damage has scattered furniture across the yard. On-site walkthroughs make sense for very large or beachfront-property patio sets where the access (deck stairs, beach access path, gated communities) adds complexity.
Aluminum scrap recycling sometimes offsets a portion of the disposal cost. The offset isn’t a windfall — recyclers pay by weight at standard scrap rates — but it reduces the customer-facing number when the load is mostly aluminum.
